Spider Cage Therapy

6-Session Intensive Programme

6 × 1-hour sessions — £450

Spider Cage Therapy is a specialised physiotherapy session where children are supported safely in a frame with soft bungee cords and harnesses. This supportive environment allows them to practise movements like sitting, standing, walking, and transitioning between positions with confidence and safety.

It helps improve strength, balance, coordination, and everyday movement skills, and is especially helpful for children with cerebral palsy or other neurological conditions. Sessions are always tailored to your child and designed to be motivating and fun.

Other Specialist Therapies

We also offer the following specialist approaches, which can be incorporated into treatment plans as needed.

Whole Body Vibration Therapy

WBV Therapy is a gentle, safe treatment that supports children with cerebral palsy or low muscle tone. Your child stands or sits on a specialist platform that delivers small, controlled vibrations, which help muscles work more effectively.

This therapy can improve muscle strength, support muscle tone management, strengthen bones, and enhance balance and walking. Sessions are short, usually 10 to 15 minutes, and are tailored to your child's individual needs, making them supportive, achievable and enjoyable.

Treadmill Gait Training

Treadmill Gait Training is a safe, supportive way for children to practise walking and build confidence on their feet. Using a treadmill, sometimes with gentle body weight support, children can focus on stepping, improving balance, and increasing endurance without the fear of falling.

Repeated practice helps strengthen muscles, improve walking patterns, and build coordination. Each session is personalised to your child's abilities, making it fun and motivating.
